Who we are

Who
we are

We opened our doors in 2010 with 13 people and no clients. Today, the Group consists of M&C Saatchi Abel, Connect & Africa, Razor, Levergy & Dalmatian. Our team of 13 has grown to almost 350 people, and we’re proud to partner some the most loved and chosen brands, locally and internationally.

There's
Saatchiness
In our
blood.

In 1995, the fiercely independent Saatchi brothers, Maurice and Charles, left their own, well-established agency, Saatchi & Saatchi, to start a new, more entrepreneurial one.

An agency driven once again by their love for simple, imaginative ideas that have the power to change the world.

We’re proud to be part of the M&C Saatchi Global Network,
the largest independent network in the world. 25 offices across the globe, diverse, yet united in our unwavering belief in the power of Brutal Simplicity of Thought.

OUR DOORS OPENED IN 2010. OUR MINDS ARE OPENED EVERY DAY.

In 2010, with little fanfare but much industry speculation, we opened our doors. 13 people. No clients. Just a dream-fuelled desire to build an agency that the best people would want to work for, and the country’s best brands would want to work with.

Many said, ‘Who needs another agency?’. Our answer was simple. ‘We’re not going to be another agency.’ The founders’ drive was to create an extraordinary place. An agency of friends – where everyone has a voice, and all opinions are respected and heard, and beautiful ideas are the outcome. Today, those 13 people have been joined by over 340 of the industry’s brightest and best. Our client list of one, has steadily expanded year on year, and today we’re privileged to call some of the country’s most sought after brands our partners. Our relentless pursuit of simplicity, our unwavering belief in the transformative power of creativity, means every day presents a fresh opportunity for everyone here to write another chapter of our story.

Values

We encourage individuality and self expression. We’re a place for curious and imaginative people. But there are five characteristics that we insist our people possess. Traits that define our culture and make us who we are.

Optimistic. Bright. Brave. Considered. Open.

These are the values we value above all.

Value

We encourage individuality and self expression. We’re a place for curious and imaginative people. But there are five characteristics that we insist our people possess. Traits that define our culture and make us who we are.

Optimistic. Bright. Brave. Considered. Open.

These are the values we value above all.

01

It’s the way we choose to see the world.

We look for the good. The positive. The up-side. There will always be those who find what’s wrong and dwell there. We prefer people who focus on what’s working and then build on that.

We started the agency in 2010, in a recession, when most said we were mad. Where others saw the glass half empty and leaking. We saw it full and overflowing with opportunity.

Optimism defines us and drives us. We look forward not back. Up never down. If that’s you, you’ll fly here.

02

Bright people light up a room.

The positivity sparks ideas, and we love that. We encourage our people to find their voices and use them. Our clients love it too. We invite honest and open dialogue. Which explains why, when it comes to being a valued strategic partner to our clients, they gave us an 8.2/10 rating in the SCOPEN Report. It’s also why we’ve won two consecutive FM AdFocus Partnership of the Year (IAS and SCOPEN) awards.

03

As an agency we have an intolerance for the ordinary.

And our creative thinking reflects this. It’s not about zigging when others zag. It’s about creating big ideas, based on real consumer insights, that solve our clients’ problems and capture the hearts of the nation. We’re only satisfied when our work works for clients. And then goes on to win at both creative and effectiveness award shows.

Truly impactful work can do both.

04

Great things seldom happen by mistake.

We’ve found that to be true, time and again.
Amazing things happen when you pour your heart into the detail. Because it’s the little things that create the whole.
Early on, we decided to show how much we care for our people and our clients by ensuring we put thought into every detail, like Charlotte Rhys soaps in every bathroom. The best coffee available to all.

It’s a simple philosophy really; If your heart’s in the little things, it’ll be in the bigger things too.

05

Probably one of our most valued values. Because it’s just so beautifully simple. Four little letters that mean and unlock so much. Think about it, when your eyes, mind, and heart are open to others, you see, learn and feel so much more. Like our global Street Store movement which brought the haves and the have nots together, creating the world’s first pop-up store for the homeless. Going open source with the idea also allowed the world to opt in and get involved.

Openness is a catalyst for bringing people together.

Every day our agency starts again. New people join, new conversations are had, new ideas are born. Some go on to change the world.

This is a place that believes in people and in the power of ideas to change the world. We’ve seen it first-hand: when as a collective we rally behind new-born ideas, make them happen, and see how they transform lives, businesses and our country. We’ve never aspired to be ordinary, but rather to be extraordinary. We attract people and clients who want to do the exceptional. Nothing less. Our agency’s story is one of against all odds, nothing is impossible, doing the audacious, the remarkable. We’re not fearful of adversity. We welcome it. After all ‘challenge’, they say, is your own opportunity to grow.

Maurice Saatchi once said that when people look back at their careers, he wants them to confidently say, “I did my best work at Saatchi.”

Our hope for you, is the same.
