We sat down with Financial Manager, Matthew Esbach for a little Q&A session to get to know him better. Other than spearheading the Finance Department at the Cape Town office, Matthew is big on art and music, and plays an integral role within our Group company.

A: Caring, optimistic and easy-going.

Q: WHAT ARE THREE POINTS OF INTEREST OUTSIDE OF WORK?

A: Music, hiking and being involved with the theatre.

Q: FAVOURITE BOOK OF ALL TIME?

A: Mark Ryden’s Pinxit – full of art with limited words (lol) or any Agatha Christie crime novel.

Q: SOMETHING YOU CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT?

A: My fur babies (I’m a dad to a Collie and a German Shepherd) they are loveable giants.

A: Too many to name, Fugees, Randy Crawford, Fall-out boy, Sade and so many more.

A: Casablanca – there is something about the setting of that movie that resonates deeply with me.

A: Has to be the Big Bang Theory!!

Q: WHICH ONE OF OUR VALUES RESONATE WITH YOU THE MOST AND WHY?

A: BRIGHT. For me, energy is the one thing in the Universe which is most contagious. I believe every time you walk into a room you should have the intention of making the world just a little bit better for someone else. Our energy has the potential to ruin someone’s day, but also change their lives.
